I did have everything on track 2 months ago I was about to start school and while I did that I was going to have a little help with bills while I did a part-time job. Well my town flooded and prevented me from following through on my plans,i couldn't leave my kids alone at the shelter it was there rules I had to take them when I left. Kids and interviews don't mix. During all this my phone was shut off, and when we finally were able to return home with what clothing I had I couldn't so up to a Job interview or puck up an application dirty stinky. I had to cancel my GED classes.red cross helped but that was for help with fixing the home with. Water and electricity came back on after 5 days then things were going better. Then I got into a car accident and my car was totaled after that I had to walk into town in the summer heat. I just got another car but I was not able to pay my light or water bill and is now shut off. My kids and I need help FEMA is helping everyone out but the post office has lost my aid witch I was going to use for my bills. I just want our home to be clean and me to start work again.but it's so hard to keep your head up when you keep getting knocked down.

This year has had many challenges. I had 5 major hospitalzations. Most months i do okay. I strugglw but we always get by. My other half just had a stroke took his left side. He has always been our rock. Now Im faced with huge medical bills. No percription insurance. We found out he is now in Kidney failure stage 3 cancer. Being uninsured cant treat.my propane for cooking and hot water was turned off yesterday for non payment of 212.00. My water will be turned off next. For non payment. Today i was going to take my other half to doctors apointment. Opened door to my car had be repossessed. For non payment of 175.00 now they want 150.00 to get my items. I would be willing to make a payment agreement to pay back money barrowed. Life is very hard for my family. I applied for help but was denied due to receiving 1400. A month in social security. With 1075 for rent a month. If you could help keep my electricity and water on I would be so thankful. And over the years I have paid it forward to many people i knew could never pay back. Comments: Hi I'm a single mother of three extraordinary children. I usually work full time in a school cafeteria but during the summer I'm unemployed. Because of this circumstance I was fully prepared financially for the summer break because i take as much time as possible to spend with my kids. But unfortunately this summer new laws state I'm no longer eligible for unemployment but that didn't damper our plans we just tightened the belt. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of a custody battle for my son. During our recent visit the judge advised me to seek a lawyer before returning. This unforseen circumstance was a major blow financially. I'm now working part time but with rent being $900 and paying daycare for three children I'm now having a hard time staying afloat. I never thought i would be facing homelessness and losing custody of my son. My only wish is just for a little help to keep a roof over my little ones head.
Comments: Hi my name is Ivy Helton. I am a mother of a 4 year old son named Levi that was born only weighing 15 3/4oz and about as long as a 20oz soda bottle. Well we lived in Ohio and my husband hurt his shoulder real bad and had to have 3 surgeries on it(he had his first surgery on it about a month after our son was born. My son was born at 24weeks and stayed in the hospital for about 4 1/2 months. I worked fulltime as a nurses aid he was on light duty/ work mans Compt with his job until about a week before Christmas of 2013. His job laid him off because they couldn't accommodate his needs no more. I had a descent job at a county owned nursing so good retirement stuff like that I worked there for about 6 years. My husband worked his job for 25 years but they are contracted on military base so he had a lot of employers come thru those years. In January of 2014 we made the drastic decision to let our home go into for closure that we been paying on for about 8 years had vehicles go back stuff like that. Also his daughter graduated high school in May of 2014 so we paid his child support off in January that was almost $3,000. We decided to take all our retirement buy a place in kentucky had to move about 5 hours away from my step daughter. Also the place we bought had to have a lot of work needed done and still does like right now I could use better Windows stuff like that. The mobile home built in 1975. My washer and dryer in the bathroom and we can't even shut the door on it unless if we switch the door to open out that's not much space. I worked a minum wage job until my husband received his disability in November of 2015. But we was trying for a awhile just after he didn't have his job no more. We had to get a lawyer abs finally got his disability. But $2700 only goes so far when you gotta get parts for your vehicles. Also, pay taxes on the vehicles we own like our 2010 Silverado taxes on that was $211 which will be like that for a awhile bc Kentucky goes by what the vehicle is worth. We figured be better to have vehicles paid off so that's what we did when he got his settlement paid about $13,000 for the truck and $4,200 for my car 2009 Chevy aveo5. But with all vehicles stuff happens had to get front and back brakes and front rotors for my car. Also had to get front brakes for the truck and still need to get back brakes but not sure on rotors but I hope no rotors bc those are $150 a piece. Also had to get both rear ujoint soft the truck those were about $20.00. Also had to get an a/c compressor for my car went searching all over on line cheapest place but still was a $180 didn't include all the stuff I need to get for the a/c. Plus my windows could be tinted bc it has a lot of "window" so my poor son and elderly father n law get hot pretty quick even with a/c on. I am two months behind on electric bill never been behind since I moved its about $241 plus a late fee. My husband has Medicare now so we have to pay $25 copay at doctors visit gas stuff like that. Also we get bills from doctors I think we owe about $200 in medical bills that's estimated little high. I would have to look at it again. I am going to start back in college in August so i can become a register nurse but I'm starting at the bottom so that will be about 3 years before I bring in income to help. Figure I better go back to school since he got his disability and I can stay home to pay attention better in classes. My son be starting back in school in August I still needs school clothes shoes prob gas money just to get him to the bus stop because his bus stop is about 5/7 min away that's good weather. I made my colleges classes so I will be able to get him on and off the bus 99% of the time but my nurse aid class had to be in evening only time offered so it would clash with other classes. I am trying to better my family I finally have my husband set for his disability but after my son is 18 years income will go down to $1,700 a month. Also my husband pays for Medicare that doesn't even have dental insurance another reason I'm getting a career so I can have better coverage my husband. My son and I get Medicaid but it's only until he's 18 so what will the leave is after so another reason why I'm going to college abs becoming a registered nurse. I am tired of living pay check to pay check seemed like we done it all our lives. I just want to be a little more comfortable for me and my family. We done everything the smart way and made sure this time roof over head is paid off vehicles laid stuff like that. We have basic bills but like our car insurance is $340 a month bc Kentucky a no fault state and it cost more for insurance. We gotta have phones that's $187 a month. Trash bill is $45.00 every 3 months my husband medicine is $23.00 a month bc he has Medicare. We don't qualify for food stamp bc they say we bring in to much money we bring in $2,700 a month and we all are home so we eat more obliviously especially when son not in school he may be 4 but he likes to eat and drinks his juice stuff like that what kid doesn't. My step daughter lives about 5 hours I try to at least her every 2 months or so depends situation. I squeeze everything I can to be with our family no matter how hard it may be. I don't do credit cards or anything like especially losing everything we about had in Ohio I wasn't going to put us in the predictament. I'm still in the process to see what we can get for our family so far we supposedly qualify for weatherization program but I am trying to get more help but there is always a process for things and it could take a couple months just to do all that. So I am asking you all from the bottom of my heart if you could at least help me with my electric bill it would be so greatly appreciated. I could use some more money for food at food city or at savalot would be awesome def running low on meats stuff like that. If you have much more to spare the medical bills but food and electric bill more important. My daughter works 40 hours a week plus overtime and on her days off. This unfortunately sad as to where my granddaughter is without much time to be with her mother and vice versa. Comments: Not sure how this works at all or how long it takes, but I see other people putting there wish on here, so I will also: I made a wish the other day for food and I hope I did it correctly. I did want to add something that just came up to it. I am an uncontrolled diabetic, meaning that my blood sugar is stable. Since I haven't had money for food, my blood sugar is even worse. To top it off, I am out of my testing strips, so I can't even keep up with it. So my wish is for $200 asap for food and testing strips. My kids only had eggs once yesterday and today I have no food at all.
Comments: I pray this is possible. I am the mother of a premature baby. After developing preeclampsia during the beginning of my third trimester, I was no longer able to work. At the time I was driving a concrete mixer making decent money. This was a year ago. My blood pressure is still too high to pass a dot physical. Now, my husband and I have been making our bills just barely for a year. This month is looking like our power is going to get cut off. We are a month behind, and after paying rent, we won't have enough to keep our power on. Much less food for us and our child, or even gas to get to work.
