Comments: Hi my name is Currie. I am a single disabled mom. I have a biological daughter who right now can't work due to the doctors think is nerve damage called RSD which there is no cure for just pain killers and anti inflammatory Meds the rest of her life. Then myself and my sister whom is also disabled went into foster care and from there have adopted two girls one whom is serve rely cognitive disabilities, and one whom is on her own now also trying to make ends meet so she can't help us either. We are behind in our electric so bad . When we lived in Bristol pa we were on the cap program plan which was great. But when we moved to Delaware and got on the budget plan which we were told that the cap plan was a budget plan so we were put on it. So we thought it was the same way as pa. But to our surprise at the end of the year no way was it the same. Up in pa we paid anywhere from 100 to 117 dollars a month and whatever the overage difference was put aside. And when we paid the bill on time every month some of the overage disapated each month they got donations from places to pay bills no matter what the cost was. Not in Delaware. Down here the budget plan is 99 dollars a month and none left even if you paid it each month on time. Little to dismay at the end of the year they added what the difference of what you paid each month to what the bill was originally and sent you one outragest bill at the end of the year. So if you have a bad heart or have breathing problems make sure your sitting down when you open your mail from them you won't fall to the floor. When I opened the bill it read 2700 if I could hardly pay 100 a month how could I pay 2700. I went to the state and they couldn't help me because the cancelation note I had was stopped because I had tried to make payment arangements so the state couldn't help me. I said I had to make that because I have asthma and have a nebulizer I use for that and my little girl has one too. I have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine so in order to use them I had to make arrangements so they would not shut it off. So they made the payment plan that I would have to pay 200 over my bill each month but my bill was anywhere from 250-450 a month I couldn't afford that either so they are threatening to shut it off again I asked them why the bill was so high because we have one light on at night in house one tv and one computer but everything is electric. Little baseboard heaters that are all on deprecate units and an old stove , frig, sub pump that keeps going on and off so they said that was the problem. I can't do nothing about that . We pay 1000 rent , monthly trash is 130 3-months, electric spring is 250 winter was 400-? And summer was also high with fans and myself and daughter are supposed to be in air because of health but couldn't afford it so we used fans the first year here but now the landlord bought ac's for us and I'm afraid to see the bills now. I got 150 paid by community outreach and they gave me numbers to call so I called Catholic services and they said Li-heaps waiting list was so long and they would only give me 100 then Calvery of God church in Dover de paid 100 and some of the other places either will only pay the last 200 or less n some won't help because of how high the bill is period. We are at our wits end. We both get 733 a months from Ssi and my little girl gets 100 from subsidy which goes right to rent so the Ssi checks go to my sisters goes to car insurance, trash, cable for house phone, and little bills. Mine goes to car payment for the car we have had for three years now that's 400 month and we had credits cards years ago being stupid when we were able to work and pay bills never thinking of getting disabled and pay some of them a little at a time that we can and we have to have a storage unit for a lot of our house things when we moved here because the home we rent is very small and have no storage room and garage we could use for that. So that's what our money goes to and have no money for electric to get it down to the stage where we could even attemp to pay anything . We haven't even bought myself or my sister any new clothes or anything for us in years that's how bad it's gotten. I know it's not your fault or responsibility to help us but any little bit helps. We just make sure we have a roof and clothes for our little one and we get food stamps for us threw the state. Otherwise we would be worse off. I don't know when the last time we have bought something for each other for our own birthdays either we never thought we would be this low. We have pawned all our things worth money our parents left to us after they passed away even to make ends meet. That really hurt us. We have no grandparents , parents or siblings left alive to help us. Mom, dad died of heart attacks mom at 44 dad at 77 grandparents on both sides way before our dad died and our brother was killed in car accident at 46 sister died at 50's brother in law the year my dad died too so there is no one left to help us . And almost all but maybe three within the last twenty years together so you can say we have lived a tough twenty years maybe not as tough as a lot but some. I found my father on his bedroom floor dead in the morning after I got up he had a heart attack and I to this day blame myself for not hearing him throw things at the wall to get my attention even tho the doctor said it wouldn't made a difference his heart was that bad but he didn't want us to know because he didn't want to be a burden to us he was to proud for that. But my problem is when we argued I used to say not really meaning it that he was gonna die a lonely old man when we argued and in my mind he did because we could have been there and held his hand and told him how much we really did love him with all our hearts so I still cry every night to sleep and a lot in the daytime . That's why I have to go to therapy a lot. I am also a narcolepsy patient I fall asleep just sitting talking to someone face to face or even on the phone nice huh. I have been threw endometrial cancer surgery had full hysterectomy had stomach bypass because of health reasons and they left the IVC filter in that was supposed to be removed even tho I never had a hystery of blood clots and since its been in for 4 years now it's a real health risk to take it out the doctors say unless it's an emergency and then it still can be fatal I have to have it checked 2-3 times a year to make sure it hasn't moved or broke apart nice huh. I've had corporal tunnel surgery in both hands and have torsel tunnel in both feet and have had to have both hands injected recently do to trigger fingers and have to have surgery on that next. Both myself and sister have to have two knee replacements . And I have thinning of the spine in my back up top and have to see neuro for that have had lower lumber surgery that didn't work. I hit 40 and fell apart I didn't wait til 50 lol I have to laugh alittle or I will crack. My sister had injections in her back neck and shoulders too I had shoulders too so if you can find it in your hearts to help us we would be really appreciative on anything little help we get. I'm going to try other places too I just found more places online to contact that's where we got your info . And if you can't help us thank you anyway and may God bless and keep you safe. Comments: Bello My name is pamela rocks. I am 65 yrs. Old. I am disabled and i have been on social security for about ten years now. My husband passed away 2 yrs. ago. He was also receiving social security benefits for a disability. I have been trying to survive on my own benefits since he passed. Sometimes my utility bill gets pretty high and i have to make arrangements to pay the bill ya little at a time, but i also have to keep the current bills paid on time. This alone is difficult to do on my income. I discontinued using pacific gas and electric for my elecyrical needs. I used a generator for almost a year, but continued using and paying for my gas. I found that i was actually spending more money this way and called PGE to hook up electric to my bill. They did this after a reconnection fee of $26 and a cash deposit of $450 inless i had a cosigner on the account. I dont understand why they charged me for a deposit. I have had electrical service with them all of my life. I remember paying a $100 deposit a couple of times and never receiving that deposit back. The balance of my bill was 0 when they insisted i needed to agree to pay $450 deposit. I received a bill after 16 days of gas and electric for the amount of $856.67. My electric charges are $268.61 two reconnection charges totaling $52. Gas charges are $78.06. The deposit requested of $458.00. The total amount due of $856.67 due by august 3, 2016. I am disabled with a permanent disability which limits all of my ability to perform my activities of daily living, including my ability to walk without the use of a walker I was also recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and i am still undergoing treatment for. I go to UC Davis in sac. Ca for cancer treatments, which is approximately 50 miles one way I have not been able to drive a car for awhile and i have been relying on transportation on my family and friends. It is getting harder to find someone as time goes on. I would like to request the amount of $458, which is the amount of the deposit to keep my electricity on. If this is not possible maybe you could pay some of this deposit. Thank you and i hope to hear from you before this bill is due on august 3, 2016. Their father passed away in February and nothing will be the same again for any of us. On top of this, because we weren't married, I lost our car. So now we are a single parent family without a vehichle. It had been hard for me, but I can clearly see that it's extremely hard for Nathaniel. He has autism and his behaviors have gotten out of control. I know we need support and I know services are available to him. I'm so frustrated and overwhelmed. Comments: Me and my family are in desperate need of help. It is me,my husband and my 4 children ages 2,9,11,12. We are currently homeless because I didn't find a home in the time that my housing voucher allowed me,so I lost my housing assistance. And my husband works full time, but it's still not enough to pay for a home for us or rent a motel room for more then a week. I plan on going back to work when my children go back to school so we could hopefully get an apartment. But until then we struggle to try paying for a motel so my children will have somewhere to sleep . But like I said my husband's checks only pay for about o week in the motel and our basic needs. Comments: I work at a Cancer Center. I have a male patient, diagnosed with lung cancer with mets. The patient had to move back from another state to WV when he was diagnosed to be near family. He is renting from his ex spouse. She as well as their daughter also have cancer of different types. This family has truly went through it this past year. The patient has NO air conditioner and with his breathing jeopordized, I am really concerned with his ability to remain in the home. However, he has no where else to go. He is the kindest person I have ever encountered. I am in great hopes of someone, somewhere coming through. i had another previous patient who purchased him a cot to sleep on. His gratitude is over the top! He is so appreciative/thankful for anything/everything we do for him

Take it to your Doctor's office, have them to complete via your son's illness. You should complete your Portion of the form and provide the return Fax number to the doctor, so they can fax back to the Utilities Company. The will turn your elect back on due to the Medical Equipment in your Home. Also contact your Social Services and apply for Food Stamps. It is very easy and not allow required to apply and you may apply for financial assistant also to Help pay for your Light bill. Also contact the United Way, share your Zip Code and they will provide local Help within your area. I say all of this, because I have a Heart Monitor for my defibullator and pacemaker at home. out of work since September, where I received short term disability for 6 months. I was able to pay all of my bills, until March - that's when the Short Term expired and the Long term was denied. I have applied for SSI and I receive food stamp. I called the United Way here in VA (211 on the phone) They provided Churches and Charities within my area. my june rent was late. my rent is 1031.00, however its started out under 800.00 in 2007. I used my checking acct and paid my bills, the funds were not much. so I had to ask for churches and charities to help me. When the late fees and cost of court and rent was tallied I owed over 1700.00 Imagine that. But the amount was paid. The landlord, assured me they would not evict me - but they filled for the WRIT for my apartment, I have resided there for 10 Years. They are working with me so they say. But I contacted a pro bono attorneys firm whose assisting with the Long Term Appeal and SSI. SO don't give up. Theyre is help out here. No, I am not a church member, but they help. I contacted the Catholic Charities, they have helped with the June's rent.

I was lead to the Social Security here in Richmond, VA and they have a program that will help you Pay the Light Bill with the Disconnect Notice, and will help you because you have Small children. Contact the Social Services in your area. Please Contact United Way in your area, We contact UW via 211 on the phone and share your zip code and they will share numbers of charities within your general area. Also remember to sign up at Social Services for Food Stamp. It does not take long. And also sign up for emergency housing if needed. Also Local Churches - Please call them, They offer FOOD PANTRIES. Great Food and Not required.

I have left a 22 year controlling & emotionally abusive marriage a year ago in august. My not yet x spouse would come to my place of employment until i was so embarrased & frustrated I left. Taking care of an elderly lady to have an income suddenly stopped since she has become hospitalized. I am going yo be homeless in a few more days. I have nothing I am feeling very hopeless. He voluntarily gave some support and threatened with taking custody of the kids... so I agreed to what he was giving... not paying the electric and most bills but the rent. HE started to get physical and I filed for a PFA. I am struggling now paying the rent and the electric. I currently have a 10 day shut off notice and if ANYONE knows how to get help I appreciate it. I do have the PFA issued and he cant come near us. I filed for support and after a few months the support is starting to come in. IT s not the correct amount. I am pending SSI for brain anuerysms and chronic migraine with some vision loss.The intense heat and thunderstorms not helping. Any help or direction on where to get more help would be appreciated.

A pipe broke or was leaking on my side of the water line and I had to get it repaired so that I would stop getting 250.00 bills, with theses bills and the repair I have gotten on a try to keep up wheel, which is not working well. I only get a check for 748.00 a month to live on due to my disabilities. And now I have no refrigerator. It has gone out!! I have no money to get it repaired or to buy another one. I have zero in the bank and I live by myself with no car. I am here in ATL alone and haven been able to get help from the agencies here in ATL, they are out of funds. Closed! I don't know what I am going to do. If the bill is not paid by the first of August, they are going to cut my water off. Both of our daughters attempted suicide. Our youngest tried five times. I cannot express the emotional turmoil that we have experienced. Nor am I able to express the ongoing fear in which we live. Our daughters are depressed. Their medical care that they need is financially overwhelming. And, we no longer can afford it. My husband lost his job 9 mos ago due to the amount of time he needed to tend to his girls. It is a vicious circle...no job, no medical, no income... We have sold belongings to make ends meet.
