Comments: Hello, I am a single mother of 4 beautiful and sweet children. I am in a tough spot this month and need to buy groceries and coats for my children. I've applied for snap benefits, however it's going to be a while before they process the application. It would mean so much to us if we were able to go buy groceries until the time comes, and also coats for the kids because the weather is so cold.

Comments: Hi. I'm Shane from Duluth Minnesota. It's been a difficult year. Currently sleeping in my vehicle saving as much money as I can. I work for a deliver company here and do more labor intensive work in the summer as a brick mason. I have a 2 and a half year old son whom I love dearly. Been difficult making ends meet and paying my bills. Working on saving enough money to get a 2 bedroom apartment for us. His Mom has him most of the week and knows my situation and that I'm trying my best. I take him about 2 days a week for now until I get an apartment, been doing motels. Have all of his toys and things and get it all set up for him each time and he doesn't mind. I just wish I could make this all happen sooner is all. Not sure what this site is all about completely but it can't hurt to ask for help. Thank you.

Comments: I know everyone has a story, my heart goes out to all of us during this time as we cope with loss, feelings of financial and personal insecurity, fear of not being strong enough to cope with the stress and burdens we are facing each day. I too feel alone in this constant struggle and I am available for listening or helping with clothes and small items someone might need. But right now I am beside myself with worry and I am reaching out out in hopes someone can loan/gift the money needed to keep my mother's storage unit from auction. She died at the beginning of Covid and her everything she ever owned was packed into a storage unit quickly. Unfortunately, her ashes and 4 generations of Irish/Hungarian history are there with her. On Jan. 9th they will auction the unit unless I can pay $500 and remove everything that day. I've never felt so lost and desperate...these aren't just material items they are all I have left of my mother and we've been trying to sohard to stay afloat I haven't even had time to grieve her properly. I haven't made a wish since I was a little girl but now I can only hope a shooting star comes my way!

Comments: Hi. My Name is Michelle Hines. I was diagnosed with triple negative Breast Cancer because it is considered to be the most aggressive breast cancer with the poorest prognosis,I had to have an immediate mastectomy followed by 3 rounds of very intense chemotherapy. It made me very sick. All my hair fell out even my eyelashes. I threw up all through the day if I bent over my nose would bleed. I could not work. My oldest and only son decided he would move home to help take care of his younger sister and help me to pay the bills.Not long after he moved home He died unexpectedly in a car accident. He had just turned 29 2 weeks before he died and there was no life insurance to help cover his services. Between the cancer diagnosis and his death my family was struggling hard when Corona virus came and took any kind of hope for financial recovery with it.We spent this past summer living in my car which I took a title loan out on in desparation to get us out of the terrible summer heat at one point we had to get cold water from the gas station bathroom. To be able to go to the shelter i would have had to put our beloved family dog in the dog pound and I just couldnt do it. We have now finally made it to an apartment. We were accepted into pua but not long after my boyfriend was flagged for fraud which I have found out has also happened to many other families in our state. Even though there wasnt any fraud and we submitted all the paper work immediately the unemployment office is overwhelmed and as a result we have been trying to live on my 189.00 a week. I have no idea how to pay January rent of 841.00 we had no Christmas at all and dont have high hopes for the new year. If there is anyone who could help us we sure need it. Im afraid we will be homeless again soon. My cell phone is due to be turned off tomorrow so this is my last ditch effort to try for assistance after that I have no idea what we will do.

That even though we all are having hard times and we can't see the light on the other side because our bills, "MONEY" gets in our way that somewhere some-how there is someone who's going through the same thing that we are and yet they might have it twice as hard. Not meaning that any-one else's troubles are more important than the next it just means that one's family's lights might need paying and that's very important but at the same time a family man who's lost his family due to a tragedy need his lights paid as well. One family has the same troubles but different situations sometime makes it almost impossible to get through especially going through it alone. So please understand that we all came here for the same reason and that's to hopefully get some assistance and support and pray for your brother or sister who's here we never know what someone else is going through and for that reason alone. Not meaning to sound like a GRINCH cause the reason is I'm a widowed mom let with children I've been raising on my own and struggling in doing my parent duties alone and on SSA. But anyways that's why they don't have a gift not even a Christmas card or even some Christmas candy under the tree besides a couple of sticky notes with The words I wrote to each one of the day to my son which I love and wish him lots of Blessings from God and in Bold letters saying I give to u for Christmas this I OWE U till hopefully on the 3rd when mom gets her SSA $ with love ur mom. And I have done the same for my baby girl who is 16 yrs. of age in school graduating next yr. If God willing. But I am so heart broken cause my baby girl has sold on Facebook some really nice boots and some nice shirts and most of her good clothing for me to have some presents to open on Christmas morning I just seen them before I came here to this web site see I'm sick had my large intestine removed but have heart issues on top of that it's harder and harder each passing day to do my motherly duties but any ways she went with her girlfriends to their house for a Christmas even party and she texted me and asked me if I could do her a big favor and turn 5he Christmas tree lights on cause she left in a hurry and forgot to do it. So I said ok and when I went to the tree i see a few presents under the Christmas tree and I just fell to pieces and I'm still crying tears of happiness not because the presents but because in all the the mist of not having anything to give her she has given me. Please pray for me and my kids but mostly for my daughter never to change the caring kindest heart she has. Pray for me for the strength to give bck to here what she's given up of hers just to b able to give to me.
