Comments: Hi. My Name is Michelle Hines. I was diagnosed with triple negative Breast Cancer because it is considered to be the most aggressive breast cancer with the poorest prognosis,I had to have an immediate mastectomy followed by 3 rounds of very intense chemotherapy. It made me very sick. All my hair fell out even my eyelashes. I threw up all through the day if I bent over my nose would bleed. I could not work. My oldest and only son decided he would move home to help take care of his younger sister and help me to pay the bills.Not long after he moved home He died unexpectedly in a car accident. He had just turned 29 2 weeks before he died and there was no life insurance to help cover his services. Between the cancer diagnosis and his death my family was struggling hard when Corona virus came and took any kind of hope for financial recovery with it.We spent this past summer living in my car which I took a title loan out on in desparation to get us out of the terrible summer heat at one point we had to get cold water from the gas station bathroom. To be able to go to the shelter i would have had to put our beloved family dog in the dog pound and I just couldnt do it. We have now finally made it to an apartment. We were accepted into pua but not long after my boyfriend was flagged for fraud which I have found out has also happened to many other families in our state. Even though there wasnt any fraud and we submitted all the paper work immediately the unemployment office is overwhelmed and as a result we have been trying to live on my 189.00 a week. I have no idea how to pay January rent of 841.00 we had no Christmas at all and dont have high hopes for the new year. If there is anyone who could help us we sure need it. Im afraid we will be homeless again soon. My cell phone is due to be turned off tomorrow so this is my last ditch effort to try for assistance after that I have no idea what we will do.

That even though we all are having hard times and we can't see the light on the other side because our bills, "MONEY" gets in our way that somewhere some-how there is someone who's going through the same thing that we are and yet they might have it twice as hard. Not meaning that any-one else's troubles are more important than the next it just means that one's family's lights might need paying and that's very important but at the same time a family man who's lost his family due to a tragedy need his lights paid as well. One family has the same troubles but different situations sometime makes it almost impossible to get through especially going through it alone. So please understand that we all came here for the same reason and that's to hopefully get some assistance and support and pray for your brother or sister who's here we never know what someone else is going through and for that reason alone. Not meaning to sound like a GRINCH cause the reason is I'm a widowed mom let with children I've been raising on my own and struggling in doing my parent duties alone and on SSA. BUT this Christmas has been a hard hit not only to me but a lot of us dealing with the Covid-19 virus and the home schooling my teenage daughter and helping my 20yr old son and his fiance and a new addition to there household size lol and helping them with their house payment while he's starting a new job as of last Friday Thanks to God!!! But anyways that's why they don't have a gift not even a Christmas card or even some Christmas candy under the tree besides a couple of sticky notes with The words I wrote to each one of the day to my son which I love and wish him lots of Blessings from God and in Bold letters saying I give to u for Christmas this I OWE U till hopefully on the 3rd when mom gets her SSA $ with love ur mom. And I have done the same for my baby girl who is 16 yrs. of age in school graduating next yr. If God willing. But I am so heart broken cause my baby girl has sold on Facebook some really nice boots and some nice shirts and most of her good clothing for me to have some presents to open on Christmas morning I just seen them before I came here to this web site see I'm sick had my large intestine removed but have heart issues on top of that it's harder and harder each passing day to do my motherly duties but any ways she went with her girlfriends to their house for a Christmas even party and she texted me and asked me if I could do her a big favor and turn 5he Christmas tree lights on cause she left in a hurry and forgot to do it. So I said ok and when I went to the tree i see a few presents under the Christmas tree and I just fell to pieces and I'm still crying tears of happiness not because the presents but because in all the the mist of not having anything to give her she has given me. Please pray for me and my kids but mostly for my daughter never to change the caring kindest heart she has. Pray for me for the strength to give bck to here what she's given up of hers just to b able to give to me. I don't know where to start...I lost my mom a year ago, then my cleaning business went down from pandemic. My husband lost his job from knee injury we lost our home March 2020 from it all. We are having to live in a tent and it's really cold.i got my unemployment and was able to buy a truck with cash being told new engine was put in about 40,000 miles prior..two weeks later motor blew and it's stuck in shawnee because we can't afford to tow or fix it. We can't have Christmas this year and unemployment ends this week in oklahoma..I don't know what to do and my one person my mom who I could always talk to is gone. I have 2 daughters one 13 one 16, if you know teens you know how much it cost to do for them especially girls. I am drawing unemployment which is 131 dollars per week its not much, I have gotten behind on my power bill which is 730 dollars now, I just can't do it, they want 350 by Dec.21 or they will disconnect. I am asking for help with it, I don't even have money for Christmas, but like I told the girls at least we have one another and times will get better. Laid off twice from same job, when not hours reduced to hardly nothing. Now I'm proud to say I started a new job last Monday the 7th. Good job with benefits. But I dont have a single dollar for xmas for my boys. Nothing. Get first paycheck the 18th but it's a 1 week and after taxes it might be 350 if I'm lucky. Its life changing for so many- im just sure of it. so thank you so much and i hope one day i am in a place where myself and my family are able to do the same thing- for people just like us. SO!! We are about to lose it all just like eveyone else! And like everyone else, are wishing we still had time left before Christmas to retry different ways to do the best for our family. As terrible off, as everyone is- I hope we all work through it and stay safe- depression is real, and this Covid has brought it to people who you would never believe could ever even be upset!! Because of how happy they always are...This has hit us all very very hard- some of us so hard that people have resorted to convincing themselves that they are no longer needed in this life- For any of you who are just like me and cant afford to pay 1 bill, are 4 months behind on a 600.00 rent and dont have NOT 1 gift under that tree for your teens, or babies, or toddlers- Its hard but well make it through this. My daughter is 14 and my son is 12.....They gave me their lists like always and I cant put 1 thing under this tree for them and am so scared because of how incredibly close Christmas is!!! However.....These kids just like all of yours - will understand one day when they are old enough- they will forgive you- they will still love you- it will be okay..... Think of all the things you've made up to tell those kids...to cover yourself when you almost got caught putting that dollar under their pillow and stealing that tooth! bahahaha We have all been able to come up with pretty good magical stories because we love them so much!! We can still do that- yeah its a tad bit bigger because we have to think of a damn good reason why santa didnt come.... and why its so dark and the lights dont work bwahahahahah But we will all get through this- (Even if its in the dark!!)we will get through all of this- life will be okay again one day- but dont ever, get so upset thinking that any thing related to this Covid and money, is your fault. Or that your family would be better off with out you. NOOOO they wont be...they will forever miss you and know how unfair life was to take a parent from them when they needed you most(not to mention at Christmas time). We can all get through this. It will go away we will find help at some point (I hope) lol Until then we wait. Patiently. I hope all of us have a good Christmas and make it through this.
