So I am writing it all here in hopes you will see it and respond to me. I'm a disabled mom of 2 amazing kids. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which I and my daughter were born with. I also am diagnosed with fibromyalgia, osteomyelitis bone infection which is not curable and caused me 32 surgeries on my right arm,leaving the doctors to recommend an eventual amputation of my right arm. I lost my brother and only sibling, to a genetic blood disorder called Hemochromatosis, when he was only 35 years old. I was tested after he passed and later diagnosed with it as well. Recently, I got called from Portland Maine detective, saying they found my father deceased on new years, but he had been deceased since Christmas eve. So I literally have no family here, or back home as well. I am currently the only provider for my kids and myself. I have been disabled since 2002, but don't receive much from SSDI, as I was so young at the time and didn't have many years of work like most people have when they have reached the point of needing SSDI. I currently need assistance with my rent and getting food. I'm too I'll to be homeless on the streets and my kids don't deserve to be homelss. I moved here when my then husband decided to join the army, so I don't have friends here or aNY support or help. I'm in urgent need of help. I can't lose my place for my kids and I to live. Comments: I am a disabled USAF veteran (served 1976-1980). I have had a successful career. But a third stroke required me to retire. My career of over 35 years required extensive memory work which the strokes eventually took from me. Even with the diminishing memory, I was still able to continue with my work. Authoring a text book for my career field. But now am retired due to the lost memory skills at age 59. I have enjoyed life and have given my best in all situations. I always look for the positive and contribute in a positive way. I have never before asked for help, and am desperate enough at this point to do so. Comments: Hello my name is kate, I recently was hospitalized due to stress and my diabetes and blood pressure,it cost me time off of work and put me behind in bills. My car is being reposed because of time lost at work. I provide all clothing needs for 4 grandchildren I have since there biryhs, I regret nothing im loosing God provides I know. I will always be there for 4 grandchildren natter what it Coste to loosr. My daughter and their fathers are straight up looser they only worry about themseves. So I can't live my life not knowing these babies deserve a decent life. Again I have lost and sacrificed but no regrets when it comes to them. My son is 7 and my daughter is 11, starting middle school this year. My daughters school will enforce uniforms this year which I must admit I'm not ready for. I lost my dad and brother in a 2006double homicide in my dad's home when I w as 17. When things started to get a little easier the world devastated me again, 3 days before my 21st birthday my husband, the love of my life Shane, was KIA Hostile Afghanistan. I didn't receive the insurance money he hadn't adjusted it at the time we married and I didn't think we needed to rush you never really who wants to think about those things anyways honestly as a wife and mother, and we thought we'd have tie for that later. I wasn't speaking terms with my mom when I got married and Shane wasn't exactly either with his parents. He was from Bangladesh India. His family very traditional and believed only in arranged marriage. Both our families (his and my mom bc my mom is almost my only family) found out about our marriage when they brought my husband home to be buried. It was devastating. I'm still devastated, I get up everyday even still with the intentions of providing for my children and striving to teach them the skills they need and just try to make them happy and show them they're loved beyond bounds. I am very in need of a netwish. I'm past 30days behind on rent due to my landlord has me send money orders to his po box for rent. We've had a problem once before but he said that it came, just late and was a postal error.. from been forward we exchanged cash for receipt for a while. But he would be out of town often and started to request I started to send the money order for rent again which I obliged. From here forward we have spoken about only meeting in person or trying to set up a direct draft for my account so don't have any further issues but as a stands now I am behind in rent, my rent is $900. I rent from a man named Chuck Biter. I've always paid my rent and have never been in the situation. I've other bills I'm responsible for and am in tears on what to do... and im in dire need for help I don't want to be evicted my children are really happy here. Also I know that's a lot but we we don't receive snap due to receiving SSI for my husband. Comments: Hi my name is Currie. I am a single disabled mom. I have a biological daughter who right now can't work due to the doctors think is nerve damage called RSD which there is no cure for just pain killers and anti inflammatory Meds the rest of her life. Then myself and my sister whom is also disabled went into foster care and from there have adopted two girls one whom is serve rely cognitive disabilities, and one whom is on her own now also trying to make ends meet so she can't help us either. We are behind in our electric so bad . When we lived in Bristol pa we were on the cap program plan which was great. But when we moved to Delaware and got on the budget plan which we were told that the cap plan was a budget plan so we were put on it. So we thought it was the same way as pa. But to our surprise at the end of the year no way was it the same. Up in pa we paid anywhere from 100 to 117 dollars a month and whatever the overage difference was put aside. And when we paid the bill on time every month some of the overage disapated each month they got donations from places to pay bills no matter what the cost was. Not in Delaware. Down here the budget plan is 99 dollars a month and none left even if you paid it each month on time. Little to dismay at the end of the year they added what the difference of what you paid each month to what the bill was originally and sent you one outragest bill at the end of the year. So if you have a bad heart or have breathing problems make sure your sitting down when you open your mail from them you won't fall to the floor. When I opened the bill it read 2700 if I could hardly pay 100 a month how could I pay 2700. I went to the state and they couldn't help me because the cancelation note I had was stopped because I had tried to make payment arangements so the state couldn't help me. I said I had to make that because I have asthma and have a nebulizer I use for that and my little girl has one too. I have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine so in order to use them I had to make arrangements so they would not shut it off. So they made the payment plan that I would have to pay 200 over my bill each month but my bill was anywhere from 250-450 a month I couldn't afford that either so they are threatening to shut it off again I asked them why the bill was so high because we have one light on at night in house one tv and one computer but everything is electric. Little baseboard heaters that are all on deprecate units and an old stove , frig, sub pump that keeps going on and off so they said that was the problem. I can't do nothing about that . We pay 1000 rent , monthly trash is 130 3-months, electric spring is 250 winter was 400-? And summer was also high with fans and myself and daughter are supposed to be in air because of health but couldn't afford it so we used fans the first year here but now the landlord bought ac's for us and I'm afraid to see the bills now. I got 150 paid by community outreach and they gave me numbers to call so I called Catholic services and they said Li-heaps waiting list was so long and they would only give me 100 then Calvery of God church in Dover de paid 100 and some of the other places either will only pay the last 200 or less n some won't help because of how high the bill is period. We are at our wits end. We both get 733 a months from Ssi and my little girl gets 100 from subsidy which goes right to rent so the Ssi checks go to my sisters goes to car insurance, trash, cable for house phone, and little bills. Mine goes to car payment for the car we have had for three years now that's 400 month and we had credits cards years ago being stupid when we were able to work and pay bills never thinking of getting disabled and pay some of them a little at a time that we can and we have to have a storage unit for a lot of our house things when we moved here because the home we rent is very small and have no storage room and garage we could use for that. So that's what our money goes to and have no money for electric to get it down to the stage where we could even attemp to pay anything . We haven't even bought myself or my sister any new clothes or anything for us in years that's how bad it's gotten. I know it's not your fault or responsibility to help us but any little bit helps. We just make sure we have a roof and clothes for our little one and we get food stamps for us threw the state. Otherwise we would be worse off. I don't know when the last time we have bought something for each other for our own birthdays either we never thought we would be this low. We have pawned all our things worth money our parents left to us after they passed away even to make ends meet. That really hurt us. We have no grandparents , parents or siblings left alive to help us. Mom, dad died of heart attacks mom at 44 dad at 77 grandparents on both sides way before our dad died and our brother was killed in car accident at 46 sister died at 50's brother in law the year my dad died too so there is no one left to help us . And almost all but maybe three within the last twenty years together so you can say we have lived a tough twenty years maybe not as tough as a lot but some. I found my father on his bedroom floor dead in the morning after I got up he had a heart attack and I to this day blame myself for not hearing him throw things at the wall to get my attention even tho the doctor said it wouldn't made a difference his heart was that bad but he didn't want us to know because he didn't want to be a burden to us he was to proud for that. But my problem is when we argued I used to say not really meaning it that he was gonna die a lonely old man when we argued and in my mind he did because we could have been there and held his hand and told him how much we really did love him with all our hearts so I still cry every night to sleep and a lot in the daytime . That's why I have to go to therapy a lot. I am also a narcolepsy patient I fall asleep just sitting talking to someone face to face or even on the phone nice huh. I have been threw endometrial cancer surgery had full hysterectomy had stomach bypass because of health reasons and they left the IVC filter in that was supposed to be removed even tho I never had a hystery of blood clots and since its been in for 4 years now it's a real health risk to take it out the doctors say unless it's an emergency and then it still can be fatal I have to have it checked 2-3 times a year to make sure it hasn't moved or broke apart nice huh. I've had corporal tunnel surgery in both hands and have torsel tunnel in both feet and have had to have both hands injected recently do to trigger fingers and have to have surgery on that next. Both myself and sister have to have two knee replacements . And I have thinning of the spine in my back up top and have to see neuro for that have had lower lumber surgery that didn't work. I hit 40 and fell apart I didn't wait til 50 lol I have to laugh alittle or I will crack. My sister had injections in her back neck and shoulders too I had shoulders too so if you can find it in your hearts to help us we would be really appreciative on anything little help we get. Comments: Bello My name is pamela rocks. I am 65 yrs. Old. I am disabled and i have been on social security for about ten years now. My husband passed away 2 yrs. ago. He was also receiving social security benefits for a disability. I have been trying to survive on my own benefits since he passed. Sometimes my utility bill gets pretty high and i have to make arrangements to pay the bill ya little at a time, but i also have to keep the current bills paid on time. This alone is difficult to do on my income. I discontinued using pacific gas and electric for my elecyrical needs. I used a generator for almost a year, but continued using and paying for my gas. I found that i was actually spending more money this way and called PGE to hook up electric to my bill. They did this after a reconnection fee of $26 and a cash deposit of $450 inless i had a cosigner on the account. I dont understand why they charged me for a deposit. I have had electrical service with them all of my life. I remember paying a $100 deposit a couple of times and never receiving that deposit back. The balance of my bill was 0 when they insisted i needed to agree to pay $450 deposit. I received a bill after 16 days of gas and electric for the amount of $856.67. My electric charges are $268.61 two reconnection charges totaling $52. Gas charges are $78.06. The deposit requested of $458.00. The total amount due of $856.67 due by august 3, 2016. I am disabled with a permanent disability which limits all of my ability to perform my activities of daily living, including my ability to walk without the use of a walker I was also recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and i am still undergoing treatment for. I go to UC Davis in sac. Ca for cancer treatments, which is approximately 50 miles one way I have not been able to drive a car for awhile and i have been relying on transportation on my family and friends. It is getting harder to find someone as time goes on. I would like to request the amount of $458, which is the amount of the deposit to keep my electricity on. If this is not possible maybe you could pay some of this deposit. Thank you and i hope to hear from you before this bill is due on august 3, 2016.
