Comments: Today I began calling organizations in my area for assistance with rent and each organization was out of funds. This information broke my heart at the thought of someone needing assistance and the organization that truly wants to help is unable. I began to pray for those who feel that there is no other option and all hope is gone that those individuals not give up and never loose hope because the situation is only temporary they will overcome. This is a good thing this individual this group is doing and I pray their continued success
Comments: My daughter Linda is writing this for me. I recently suffered a stroke followed by a blood clot my memory has been compromised. I am lucky it could have been much worse. When I came home from the hospital I learned I was behind in my mortgage payments I had NO idea. I just recieved a post card telling me I have until June 29th to come up with 3 payments of $369.58. I can make 1 possibly 2 payments but not all 3 ! Im 82 years old I really dont want to loose my house. Can you help me? I will be able to keep up the payments once I am caught up. Comments: I recently lost my job and got behind on my car payment I got a job at a diner waiting tables but I was too far behind and the place I was by my car from repossessed my vehicle. I was close to paying it off. I have 2 days left to pay $977 to pay it off or I will lose it. I’ve been paying for it for over a year now and I’m scared to death I’m going to lose it. It’s my only transportation to get to work and will lose my job if this happens. If anyone has any suggestions I would dearly appreciate it. Thank you.

I live on disability only.Snapis not enough I have to buy groceries and go to food bank 2 times a month. No childsupport from parents and all my utilities r one month behind. All girls will be in school this year. I need financial help to get them back to school shoes socks and whatever clothes I can get . A 200.00 gift card would help them so much. I have no help from anyone. It's been 3 years since my husband passed and I have been on my own except for our all mighty God taking care if us! If u can help it would be a blessing!!!! Comments: Thank you for even having such a good organization. Any help to others is wonderful. My parents were up visiting us in CT (recent navy transfer) from NC. And my mom wasn’t well. Long story short she went to hospital right before my daughters 2nd bday party/husbands 32nd bday party to be checked out to be told she was being transferred to Yale New Haven an hour away later that evening when they had a bed open because she had Leukemia or Lymphoma. She has a rare form of non-hodgkins. She’s taken care of everyone including me when I had postpartum and my husband was deployed, and my father who has Parkinson’s. She didn’t tell anyone until she knew the party was over giving excuses it was busy and dehydration etc. she didn’t want to “ruin” the party. She has a long road ahead. Will be here with us for at least 6 months. She has no Rx coverage. And limited ins. We have to travel back and forth 3 times a week an hour away when she comes back for a while. So anything helps. I’ve started working again to help. But she’s such a giving kind person that it breaks my heart that she’s going through this. But I’m happy we can help and have her here. Thank you for reading.

Comments: Hi my name is Pamela. I need a little help paying the rent on a space for my 5th wheel. I was stuck in the Wal-Mart parking lot and wasn't able to find anyone whom could move me. My ex left me there and wouldn't come back to move it. On 5/24 they kicked me out of my RV and banned me from Wal-Mart forever. They wouldn't listen to what I had to say. I have my 18 year old Chihuahua with me. I lost my female cat there at Wal-Mart and then last Friday I lost my male cat in town. I am on disability and when I fell asleep in my car Sunday afternoon. Someone stole the money out of my purse. I have been so stressed out since my ex said he wasn't coming back. Wal-Mart had the sheriff remove me. I am trying to find help through the agency here in town. I do have an appointment next Friday with the housing resource center but the landlord won't wait that long. I need help just to be able to have my utility turned on. The landlady controls that. I need help to make her happy till my appointment. Thank you.
Comments: I am a mom of 3 boys going through a divorce after a domestic violence situation. I have lost my home of 10 years and have been scraping by since leaving my ex, but the expense of lawyers and losing half of our income has gotten us to the extreme, where I am at risk of repossession of my car, which means I cannot work, utilities are behind and are being shut off one by one and eviction from our rental home is possible if I cannot pay rent within the next few weeks. I have never been one to ask for help, I "make too much money" according to all welfare offices to receive ANY public assistance. I have depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, high blood pressure and fibromyalgia and have been without my medications for months to try to keep the heat on and food on the table. My 10 year old had open heart surgery for a major heart defect when he was born which leaves him vulnerable to illnesses in ways other kids his age are not. I have tried fund raising via Facebook, etc. with no luck, as I have little to no friends or family due to the relationship problems with my ex. I am scared for what is in store for us if I cannot raise some funds soon. Any help anyone would be able to provide would be incredibly helpful. Even if it is to assist in other options I may not have thought of.

I didn’t prepare for the worst so now I’m homeless and been sleeping on a couch for a year now while my kids are living with relatives. It’s killing me. Comments: I just turned 25 last month, but tbh I feel like a kid, I need help I don't know how I ended up in this place and I've never been one to admit I need a hand but right now I need a miracle, my rent is due and I'm about to lose the last thing I have to myself. Comments: I am at tears writing this but I have never in my life thought I'd be going through this situation. I have 2 beautiful little girls one is 4 years old and my other girl is 1 1/2 years old. It all started 4 years ago but I've gone through some terrible domestic violence and just as of recently I've finally came out and reported to dcf and the local authorites. Me and my oldest daughter were abused by my ex husband. I am going through the divorce currently and it's been a rollercoaster. My landlord wants me to move out soon since the income is gone and my ex is out of the house. He has been living at his friends house since 2 months ago and it's been a struggle. He has taken a lot of my things and even the important documents. He wont pay a dime towards the girls nor the household and I'm at this point where I am trying to figure out where to go with my 2 girls if I dont pay rent. My current monthly rent is $990 since it's a 4 bedroom house and it was intended for me, the ex and the kids. But he moved out and the source of income is gone. I did get a job and it starts at the end of the month so I'm trying everything I can to juggle taking care of the kids, finding anything to make a small income and juggle all of these court situations. Comments: Hi my name is Stephanie Auer 36 my husband is Joseph 36 our 4 kids are Ethan 17 Davin 14 Serenity 12 and Ariana. 11 Joe and I are both Army Vets. weve been married 17 years. We live in scranton PA. Ethan who will be 17 on 11th was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor we been monitoring it. In janurary at hischeck up we found out it got bigger and that he will loose his eye sight and memory from it. He is home bound on school from bullies and people making fun of him because of his droopy face. Ethan is a very lovable not your typical 17 year old. He helps me clean around the house. Helps anyone and everyone who needs it. Never says anything mean about anyone. His brain tumor Its non operable . We are meeting with oncologists June 27th to come up with a treatment plan. I went down to part-time so I can spend time with the children. My other 3 have been so strong. Both our cars are broke we fell behind cause of me going part time. We are a very close nit family. Its been such a struggle as a mom to hold myself together with his diagnoses, bills, part time work, broken cars, doctors appointments. I dont talk to my or joes family they haven't even called us to check in on him .. We are searching for help with food and rent

In 2012 I was diagnosed with a rare disease subsequently a few years later I was diagnosed with another rare disease in 2015. I have a mast cell disease and a form of Dysautonamia called Postural Orthestatic Tachycardia Syndrome. I am on disability and need help with travel and hotel expenses for a trip to Boston to see my mast cell specialist. I have been very sick lately and no local medical professional ha any idea what to do to help me get some stability of my condition. I have severe allergic reaction to almost everything you can image. Not limited to foods, smells, contact but even light friction,vibration exercise and stress can cause a sudden life threatening allergic reaction. I need help with travel expenses for my friend and I to be able to go to Boston for my healthcare needs. I know that this is short notice but my appointment is next week and I have a great need to get to my medical appointment. I have been forced to use seven epi pens since December. I would greatly appreciate the help with travel expenses.

I have a ten month old and although I’ve applied for ssi, it hasn’t been approved yet and I start chemotherapy soon so I can not work. I am living off kindness of strangers and charity , wic and Foodstamps to feed and diaper my infant son.I also have an 8 yr old but I’ve been so ill he went to his dads for a school year. Comments: Hi. I am 27 years old and I lost my job three months ago due to domestic violence. I was with my abuser for two years and suffered from multiple black eyes, broken arm, a torn MCL. I worked at a women’s medical clinic so I often had to call into work due to the views… I legally lost my job even though my absence was covered by protected to leave… This created a cascading effect. I then lost my place of residence… Which also happened illegally my roommate somehow got me off of the lease because he was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to pay the rent with no job… i’ve consulted a lawyer and they say I definitely have a case. But I have been going through so much I haven’t had the energy to pursue a case because my life is so stressful read right now as it is. I was in the process of filing for bankruptcy when I lost my job because my abuser opened up over $20,000 worth of credit cards in my name… But I now can’t afford the lawyer either. So I can’t get any loans or anything because my credit is not good at all,before this relationship it was over 700. But when my roommate got me kicked off the lease he change the locks the next day leaving my cats inside, all of my food, and all of my clothes… I would did not have access to my things for weeks. I’ve lost about 40 pounds from not being able to afford food. I don’t even look like the same person anymore I am about 90 pounds. So I’ve been living in my car with my two cats… Sadly one escaped last week. I am so beyond thankful for my car but with having a car comes a lot of extra expenses… My tires are shot, I need an oil change, gas is very expensive… Plus my AC needs re-charge because it’s about to be summer time and it does not work. Well I really need help with is my storage unit. It cost about $130 a month because I have a larger unit because of how many things I have. I’m currently working or trying to work on condensing and downsizing selling items that I can but it is hard for me to make it to my storage unit to do that because of gas… My storage unit is in my hometown which does not except people living in their car… So I drive 30 minutesTo a town that excepts homelessness. If anyone is able to help me pay my storage bill I would be forever grateful and promised to return the favor once I’m financially stableI . What kills me is there is irreplaceable family heirlooms in there, things from my mother who has passed That are irreplaceable. I’m not meaning to make this sound like a sob story… But it kind of is. The message violence is no joke and it often push his family members and friends away. People who I thought would be there for me are my worst enemies right now in a sense… My family has yet to offer me a place to stay, or warm shower, or a warm meal… I’ve been completely alone and I am normally the individual that helps out anyone and everyone in need.
