Comments: Hello - My lease is up in December and I'm going to have to make an unplanned move. I work in healthcare and between my student loans and the high cost of living in my area I barely make enough to scrape by as it is, so saving up for a deposit in only a couple months is going to be a real challenge. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, and my sincerest thanks for considering.
Comments: Currently I have a few goals I have set for me at the moment I'm struggling to get security deposit for me and my family to move into a larger unit I have three children one who is 19 attending LBCC College and he needs his space and a piece of mind for studying. I'm trying my best to make that happen in addition I have two other kids who attend elementary school very playful very loud so I'm looking for assistance. I found us a unit and been approved I'm struggling with the security deposit and first month rent. In addition I am pursuing becoming a first-time home buyer, my home buying power is very low I'm searching day in and day out looking for Grants to possibly help me fund a larger home buying power for me and my family. I am a full-time employee who works the night shift because I cannot afford child care it's convenient for me and it saves me money. I work hard to provide the basic necessities my family needs and I am just looking for a little assistance to help me with the things that I need and want for a better future for me and my family. I have faith that with the hard work that I'm doing will pay off eventually and I hope that I get the opportunity to become a first-time home buyer and get the assistance needed with my new rental I was approved for.

Comments: Everything has gotten so expensive. Food, gas, insurance, utilities, even my mortgaged increased. My husband is on disability and I work a part time job to make ends meet and it still isn't enough. It stresses me out to think of all the things that takes take our money and yet we need to survive. Cutting back on things like paper towels, and q-tips, and juggling money just to keep the lights on. Well the electric rates at the San Carlos Power and Irrigation Project, went up and my power bill is $435 for one month of service with no portion as a past due balance. Comments: My daughter is going to Memphis Tennessee for her yearly check up, at St. Jude's children's hospital. She's been cancer free for 6yrs, now. But this octoberi don't have the cash this year, her father did that, but he left about almost a year ago. So he's saying he can't help us I need to get here up there please we really need someone's help with financial help, please. Her father told her it took him $2000 there and back, food, sleeping accomodations etc. I know it's a lot to ask but anything would help again thank you.

Comments: My name is Amanda. I work a full time job as a restaurant manager. I live with my common law husband Brando and I have 3 children, ages 17, 14, and 8, which he has helped me raise. We have lived together for 8 years. On Saturday, Sept 2nd our garage caught on fire due to an electrical problem. We lost our garage, storage building, everything in those buildings, including our lawn mower and 2 vehicles. The fire also got into our attic and burned the roof, busted out the windows to the kids rooms and caused damage to the walls and floors and items in the kids rooms. Since the fire was in the attic, all the water used to put out the fire ran into our basement, which is where my middle childs bedroom is. Her room was flooded. Many things we need to live day to day have water and/or smoke damage. We need the most assistance getting back into our house which is unlivable at this time. We are currently residing with relatives. We need windows, electrical work and lots of cleaning to be able to return home. Unfortunately due to this, I've had to miss work trying to save items and trying to clean up the pieces of what we do have left; therefore, we are struggling with finances now because we typically live paycheck to paycheck . Any assistance getting my family back into their home would be greatly appreciated and used wisely. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

Comments: I lost my job and apartment. I'm single and pregnant and my first trimester I couldn't work because I'm a CNA and was throwing up and peeing my pants at work. They repossessed my car. I got on a greyhound from Oregon to Arizona to a shelter for homeless pregnant women and this money would help me pay the first week to rent a car from LYFT or UBER so I can work until the baby is born then I can go back to CNA work. The father has no interest and wants nothing to do with the pregnancy. I still have 4 months until baby comes. I lost my job and tried to get fiancial help and couldnt didnt know why i got some answers because of my sons income im denied and my mom is primary payee and she gets the money he recieves what money found out she has been collecting childsupport and ssi for my kid and i its like working a full time job taking my son get tested calling 3 states dont know why my son is on ssi went to court my mom was court ordered to pay my sons income and she hasnt done it . she doesnt realize its causing me to get help because of his income its automatically the computer shows he gets income doesnt say to who u less u look but if the computer says so then i get denied and suffer and im not getting help aith this they said its not my problem when it is mu own mother is fraud and when i asked financial assistance because of my sons income i dont recieve and they can see that if me and my children living in a box behind walmart you cant help me she said thats correct no matter what my mom has puttting down mother on every consent fourm making it impossible to talk to anybody i told them my momis fraud told me not worry about it not my issue when shes using my kid for money and i cant go work full time job and deal with this no job is going to allow me to be on phone all day with 3 different states and different time zones i sat on the phone 8 hours lady couldny hear me and hung up My bills are behind im struggling and im stuck and my mom just went to florida with my sons money for vacation and im over here only getting $200 in food stamps for a family of 4 because of my sons income and she wouldnt have ever told me all because of money she kept it now if my son need help and needs medicine and something happened it falls back on me and she never said a word with him being on disability i was 15 pregnant and 16 when i had my first born he lives with me and enrolled in school with me but it dont matter apparently 
Comments: Hi my name is Amber. I am a recovering drug addict. I am successfully 20 months sober and counting. It was a long hard road to get to this point in my life but here I am. It gets a little easier every day that goes by but regardless I still got a long hard road ahead of me still. I worked so hard to get where I am today but now I am so scared that all that hard work and everything I accomplished could end up being for nothing. I couldn't have asked for a better life if I tried. I was finally sober after all these years, I was actually living life the right and legal way, I got my own place, my grandbaby was placed in my care when she was born which is now 7 months old, and I had a decent job which I really loved and enjoyed as the manager of my store until 2 weeks ago when my whole world just came crashing down all around me due to the fact I lost my job. So now here I am no job, absolutely no money, a 7 moth old baby, rent due which is $300. If I get evicted I will literally be out in the streets and the state will take my grandbaby and put her in a foster home. The 2 most important things in my life which are my grandbaby and my sobriety are at an extremely high risk level of losing cause having nowhere to go but in the streets just means that it'll be just a matter of time before I'll be right back to the place that I've worked so hard to stay away from. Comments: I am Teeva's Mom (aka 'Grandma' to my 2 teenage granddaughters). My daughter Teeva needs help. The landlord of the home they are renting let them know 2 weeks ago that he will not renew their lease and they must move out by 9/30/2023. One grandchild is a senior in high school and the other is a special needs teenager attending a special program at a different high school. I take my special needs child to school and pick her up. Both my daughter and her husband work, but they cannot seem to get ahead. Her husband was out of work for a while... it took him a good month and a half to find a new job and they got behind in their bills. Teeva is having a very difficult time finding another home to rent that they can afford. And because they got so behind, they have no money for first, last and deposit on another rental. They visited our pastor this morning. Our church will give them $500 toward these expenses but that still leaves them very short. Their only other option is an extended stay hotel, IF they can even do that. I live in a 55+ mobile home park and cannot take them in. We are at wits end over this. Any help would be so very appreciated at this point. Thank you.

She said she would take a payment of as long as I have a decent sized payment. the rent is $800 but I'm short $250. Comments: I am 59 yrs of & my daughter and her fiancé was recently killed. My 6 grandchildren are now parentless. So, my wife & I have taken in the youngest three of my granddaughters who are ages 3, 4 & 6 yrs old. This has been the worst thing to ever go through. We’ve been struggling to take care of our three young grandchildren in very limited income and even though we’re doing our best under these extreme circumstances we are struggling terribly. Groceries has been costing us almost $400 a week or so. At this ver far time I’m our lives we’d be very grateful for a little help. We’re looking into any benefits but we have no birth certificates or needed identification for the kids due to the circumstances. We go to court on September 1st for guardianship/custody so hopefully after this things will process a little quickly in seeing if there’s any help we can get for the girls. Their parents didn’t work long enough to receive any social security for them. If we’re so blessed to receive this grant we’ll use it for food for our three grandchildren. We’re also couple months behind in rent as we had no idea our entire lives would change like this overnight. Hoping and praying 🙏 that you grant us this grant to help us with the girls as they’re already going through enough. I work but somewhat reduced hrs since we got the girls & my wife is on disability so we’re on a very, very tight budget and caring for three children has put a strain on staying a afloat financially. But, we have faith that things will all come together once we are granted custody/guardianship next month and we should be able to provide for them the way that we would like to and give them the best life that we possibly can. Comments: Hi, I am a recent widow. Since my husband dies I have struggled financially. His pension was over half our household income. I will receive 25% of his pension, but not until I am 62 yrs old. I am currently 58. He was diagnosed with lung cancer during Covid and I was on FMLA taking care of him. My employer had to downsize significantly due to Covid so when I was ready to return there was no longer a position for me. I have worked a few different jobs. However, nothing that was at my previous pay range. As a result, I have not been able keep up with our financial obligations. January 2023 through June 2023, I was doing contract work for a national marketing firm. It paid only $1500 a month. During this time a physical condition that I have worsened. I presented basic restrictions to this firm that I need to be able to sit down when I need to to catch my breath and allow the weakness I felt to pass. They responded by terminating my contract. As a result, I have not had any income coming in at all. A few friends have helped me with household items like toilet paper, paper towels, etc. I am receiving Snap Benefits for food and am on Medicaid, and just recently received rental assistance. Thank goodness. I have been blessed to finally find a job that will pay me enough to make ends meet. However, I do not start until the beginning of September, 2023. Currently, my electric and water is scheduled to be shut off on August 28, 2023, my car could be repossessed any day, and I recently had a flat tire, (never had a flat tire before until now, lol), and need a new tire. I have 2 crucial issue facing me with my utilities and possible car repossession and not having transportation to my new job. The tire is needed obviously for safety reasons. I can't drive on the free way or any great distance on a spare. So if my car doesn't get repossessed I need a new or used tire. I am an optimistic person. No matter what my struggles are I know eventually things will get better. I have been fortunate to have obtained the assistance I have thus far. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. I'm asking for assistance because our water pipe ruptured and we can't afford the new pipe to replace the old line with. So now I've got an ostemy bag on and have no running water!That's been hard..we travel over a hundred miles per day for my treatment 5 days each week and that's been costly with gas and food every day! we are barely hanging on and any help would be great! Comments: I am a brain tumor cancer patient (my most recent brain tumor was removed in June 2023, I also had one removed in May 2020) and I am just starting 33 rounds of radiation treatment. Because of my disease I am unable to drive due to lack of spatial distance. I live in NH and get treatment in Boston, MA at Brigham & Women's Hospital. I am relying on public transportation support and Uber. I am still trying to hold down my job but because of my daily treatments, Monday through Friday, my hours have been reduced and I am making less money. The past 3 years have been extremely challenging both financially and emotionally. I lost the love of my life a year ago this past New Years Day due to a heart arrhythmia, he was only 33 years old. My mental health is getting worse, my conditions are preventing me from keeping a job due to my terrible anxiety and depression which I was recently was fired for this (04/07/23). My living situation is getting harder by the second as i'm still trying to find a job with no luck so far but interviews upcoming i'm trying to keep up with my responsibilities such as paying my rent which i'm behind on and and getting back on my feet by using what is donating towards the next few months of rent and utilities and my mental health which has been the biggest struggle I have faced in my life. I've attempted finding assistance programs with this being the last resort until I hear something back but with me losing my job it has put me in a crisis where my bills have been affected and I know I'm not the only one struggling but if you are more fortunate and can help or share I'd be very grateful. I've never felt this level of desperation and it's upsetting and beyond embarrassing. I would never imagined I'd be in this situation ever in my life especially at such a young age. Comments: im in dire need of some help with my rent i am 66 years old and just got an eviction notice on my door. i have been asking everybody and anybody for help and no one even cares i have 3 cats and 1 kitten and all of my pets are going to be living on the streets if i dont get this taking care of. the only reason why i am behind on my rent is due to an unexpected tragedy that happened to my daughter on her 31st birthday she had exited a moving vehicle here in las vegas and paramedics did everything they could but to no avail and she was pronounced dead at the scene. that happened on march 31, 2023 her name was ariel j. davidson if you want to look it up go ahead. but i had to ask her friends and co workers to help me get her cremated so money is really tight and i do not have anything else i dont even have enough to get cat litter and that is insane. im tired and dont have enough energy in this hot las vegas weather to be going all over trying to raise money so i can pay my rent and not live on the streets. but if any one can find it in their hearts to please help me i would greatly appreciate it a lot. my daughter left behind two children an 8 year old boy and a 2 year old daughter. thank you for even taking time out of your busy day to read my little novel
