Comments: This fund raiser is for me, I am a 30 year old single man, disabled and on SSI, have about $20,000 or more in debt and getting harassed by debt collectors. I barely make it from month to month, even my band gigs barely help me out for the month if I'm lucky enough to have a gig that month. The story starts December 27, 2012. I was doing laundry prior to that of course, and I noticed my washer with that drill bit looking rotating auger starting ripping my clothes, I was skeptical about getting a second hand washer and dryer fearing they would be worse. So on December 27, 2012, I went to Lowes to purchase a new washer and dryer on my lowes credit card. I was doing fine on the 1st payment in January, but then, Comcast, now Xfinity, double charged my account, I called them to complain about it, of course I got 1 of those charges back. I thought I was fine until March of 2013, 2 months later, Xfinity did that to me again, this time, I went to and turned them into Better Business Bureau, after that, ALL Xfinity gave me was a month free of charge for all my troubles, what a company. By this time, I had already leaned on my other 3 credit cards and an online line of credit to get me by in the months to come. By the mid to end of 2013, I was already behind on my card payments, I panicked I didn't know what to do, I never been in debt before. In January of 2014, I decided to go with a debt consolidation company, it was nearly taking half my income I needed to survive on. I switched to another promising looking debt consolidation company a couple months later. I had to do something. I thought I'd stay with them for a year and a half, come to find out, that debt settlement company did me dirty, I started getting summonses after summonses to go to court, I probably have a couple judgements on my credit score now. So the rest of 2015 in to 2016, I been struggling with my bills, getting behind, and going negative in my checking account. My bank denied me loans, barely reversed my overdraft fees, and now, I'm getting a new form of payment so I can at least see all my income. I almost forgot to mention, I am in debt with 5 cash advance payday loans since the end of 2015. I keep going deeper and deeper with no other place to turn to for some kind of help. What do I do, who do I ask, how do I go about settling everything and getting relief???
