 October is Domestic Violence awareness month. 

A guy friend of six year, I met up with him at an Irish bar in Easton Mall here in Columbus, OH. He'd been drinking hours prior. He became negative, abrasive, and belittling me in front of strangers. I was sober and didn't want to put up with the verbal abuse. Stroke his ego he was looking for. I went home and was in bed by 9p on march 17, 2017. 
March 18, 2017 my life changed forever. This guy friend showed up very intoxicated to my place. I let him in thinking he would go pass out on the couch. Sadly, I took 8/9 closed fist blows to my head. He ripped my clothes off, spit on me, shoved his thumb into my right eye, and threatened to kill me. Somehow I escaped and ran for help with only half of my sweatpants and sock booties on the pouring rain. He fled the scene, as I was knocking on neighbors doors. So scared he was going run me over with his SUV. As I was being transported to the ER; my abuser was getting pulled over for an OVI by a state trooper. Needless to say, I pressed criminal charges. And lost a friendship that wasn't even there.

Six months later he is still prolonging my case. Now my case is set for a jury trial onOctober 23. It's ridiculous how much of a coward he's being. My abuser has high profile career as a NFL agent. He is use to paying his way out of trouble.

I lost my professional career in May 2017 due to low production numbers. I missed so much work attending court hearings, mental health sessions, and eye doctor tests. My vision came back in June 2017. I turned my part time serving position into my full time employment. July 27, without little notice we were told the building got bought and last day of business was Aug 6th. I obtained another position but it isn't paying the bills.

Im seeking financial assistance to pay bills so I can continue to fight for justice against my abuser. Please help; I appreciate you reading this. No more violence and hitting rock bottom. I would like to begin heal in privacy and peace. Provided is my link to confirm I am a real person.

I actually was encouraged to not give up, and to keep trying for assistance from a total stranger-my angel in disguise. That brought me in the direction of you. My needs are severe and urgent, but I know it may seem small to others. I have a 1 year old daughter and a special needs 2 year old, and we are about to be homeless again. We just transitioned out of the domestic abuse shelter and only been in our townhouse for 1 month when my job let me go. My car is about to be then by the bank, we have not even a penny to our name, enough gas for 1 day and empty cabinets. I can only pray my cell is not shut off. I had to sell the used wade and dryer we had to take care of my kids and my lawyers fees, and now again we are bare with nothing. All our clothing has holes and we are literally with no family except our abuser that we pray is held accountable properly for hurting us. My son has some special needs too, and I cannot even get him to his therapy for food therapy and his fine motor skills etc. It's breaking my heart not being able to give my children what they deserve. I can't even afford the basics. Please help, and if you cannot help us...please pray that someone can. Thank you for listening...a little kindness really means a lot when your in our shoes.

Hello.
My name is Lori Vaughan and myself and my son Sam are in a tight situation. We were forced to leave out long time house that we had been renting in Westport Mass due to a large increase in rent. We were lucky enough to move into a house in November of 2016 that was $1,200 a month and so we moved all of our stuff in and we were living happy only paying rent (utilities included...or so we thought). I was working and my son was going into his sophomore year in high school. I don't have a car because I am a single mother living without child support only able to work a part-time job, so I took a cab to work and back everyday costing $20.00 a day. This was working for us and we were able to get by with little money to save each week. When the end of May came around our land lady told us that we had to leave the house by July 1st so she could rent the house out weekly over the summer. We were shocked and we had to hustle to try and find a place to live. Luckily we were promised to be able to go back in September of 2017. On top of all of this the land lady gave us a bill for all of the utilities that we had used for the past seven months($2,700) and said we could pay it overtime. Instead of sending us monthly bills. My son went to live with his grandmother in Rhode Island while I rented a room for $125 a week in Westport so I could keep my job. When I spoke to our landlady two weeks ago she had told me that before I could move in I needed another deposit, first months rent and half of the utility bill paid off. ($3,700 or so). I don't even have $1,000 to my name and so we cant move into the house where all of our clothes and furniture are. Also the house where I am renting the room is now filled with heroin addicts who have stolen my jewelry and purses. So I now have to move into my mother in law's one bedroom apartment with my son in Rhode Island, costing me my job and making my son have to transfer schools in his junior year. Please, I just need the $3,700 so I can get back into my home and save my son the stress of moving schools. Thank you. Lori Vaughan.
